i have been perimenopausal for 8 years. my periods stopped in june except for some very light spotting in nov. i have had a problem with what i think is pms the last 2 months. i really wigged out in dec. and about 25 days later i got some of the same symptoms. depression, anger, anxiety, scalp breaking out, swollen breasts. had the worst fight with my husband that i have had in a long time. i'm 52 and i thought this stuff would be over pretty soon. who needs it.

Hi Marian100,
I had the same symtoms you had in August, 2006. I was having alot of trouble with my moods, and I would cry at a drop of a hat. It was really bad at work, not alot at home. I went to the doctor and he put me on celexa to help with my mood swings and depression. I had told him I didn't want to take any hormone replacement drug, so he started me on the celexa. I feel real good now and I quitting my job helped alot, I have heard that stress especially in the work place adds to depression. Try talking to your doctor it may be as simple as mine was.
