Well, I just got back from my follow up appointment from my surgery and guess what....my RE gave us the green light to start IVF!:blob_fire :blob_fire :blob_fire I am just so very happy I could die!!!!! After the surgery, I thought we would have to wait until like April or so.

So I am at cd15 today and still have not gotten the surge on the OPK. I should get it tomorrow or so. This was a natural cycle because of the surgery. So once I get my period, I will start IVF, should be about 2 weeks! We will go on the pill for 3 weeks and start Lupron. Then once I get my period, we will do Follistim. I have never been so excited to go on the pill and get shots as I am right now;) So we will know in March if it worked!!!!!!

The only thing that I am a little sad about is that they just changed the protocol for transferring the embabies. Because of my age (28), if we make it to a 5 day transfer, they only put back 1 embaby:( I really want to transfer 2. He said that we can discuss that more when the transfer comes around and that we could possibly do 2 (I really hope so!).

Well, thanks for listening, I am just so happy to be moving forward. After 2 1/2 years of ttc, 6 rounds of clomid, 4 rounds of injections, 6 iuis, 2 surgeries, and one miscarriage, I AM READY FOR IVF!!!!!!!!:blob_fire So hopefully this will do the trick and fill this empty heart and arms:angel:

Why will they only let you transfer only one? I am also 28 yrs old and want to transfer two also. Is it your fertility clinic that has those rules or is it all of them now? Just wondering becasue I will be doing ivf sometime in the next month or two. I'm very excited!!

You guys are just the BEST!!!!! I knew you would all be so excited for me, that is why I love this board and all of you;) I just am so happy and I have not had this kind of hope in a LONG time. I will definitely keep everyone posted as how things are progressing once I start the cycle. I am sure there will be lots of ups and downs and I will need you all for support. I can only pray and hope that the first try will bring me the miracle I have waited for for so long.:angel:

I am a little bummed right now though because I still have not gotten the stupid surge on my OPK and it is the 16th day:( I never have to wait this long, and of all cycles that had to be long, why this one when I am waiting to start IVF!!!!!! I am sure it has something to do with my surgery and all the stress and trauma, I just wish it would surge already. I began testing on the 10th day because last month the cycle was 27 days and that is when the box said to start testing. Well, today I used the last stick so I have to open another BOX!!!! I am sure it is coming soon because there is a line, it is just not the same color as the control and I haven't gotten the smiley face yet (I use the Clearblue Digital). So, I am really hoping that I will get the surge tomorrow morning because I am going to bust with anticipation!!!!!

Try not to worry and get yourself down about not surging yet. Remember just the other day Holly was really worried about that too and she finally did surge and is in her 2ww!!Better to surge late than early to make sure those eggs are good and ready. I surge to early and that may have caused my miscarriage. So this is not a bad sign but a good one you want those eggs ready!!!!! Are you going to try acupuncture???

I am so aggravated!!! Today is the 18th day of my cycle and no surge in sight:mad: I have NEVER had this long of a cycle! If I don't get the surge tomorrow morning, I will call my RE and ask them to do an u/s to see if there are any follicles, if there aren't, I am going to ask them to induce my AF with provera so we can get this IVF cycle started. I just can't believe of all months, this is the one that has to be playing games with me. I hope that things can start moving along soon, I don't want to lose anymore time.

Yah! I pray that IVF work for you. You sure do deserve a BFP with all you have been through. My friend is 31 and she did IVF 5 mos. ago and is pg. with twins!!!!! Best of luck to you.

Today is the 19th day and still no surge:( So I went to my RE this morning on my way to work and they did a b/t and u/s to check to see if there are any follicles. I ended up having one 17 follicle on my right side and my lining was 11.5. They said that my cycle is just delayed because of the surgery. I should get the surge in the next day or two. They would not put me on provera or anything else to induce my period because they said it was a waste of a good cycle. I know they are trying to be optimistic and positive, but let's be real, a natural cycle is not going to work for me! I have kind of lost all hope of that and am just ready to move onto IVF. So, I have to just wait and do a lot of BDing in the next few days. The bad thing is, is that now I will probably have around a 40 day cycle(which I have never in my life had, 34 was the longest ever), which just means I have to wait longer for the IVF cycle.

Looks like you and my sister will be on the same cycle. She sees her RE again on the 15th. She had some bads news after her LAP, left tube is collapsed and the right one is bad also, so off to IVF. I am wishing you both luck this month and praying for lots of BFP for March.

I finally got the surge on my OPK this morning (20th day)!!!:blob_fire :blob_fire I am so excited! So here is to the start of a long 2ww!

Mommy4- I am sorry your sister had bad news with her lap. At least she knows now, and can move onto IVF and hopefully have a successful first cycle!!!! You can keep me posted on her cycle as I go through my first IVF too:) Best of luck to her! What a great sister she has to be so supportive! I wish my family would take a lesson from you;)
