Have you tried over the counter athlete's foot medication? I would start with that. You can also try tea tree oil. Just one drop on the toenail twice a day.

Try Vick's Vaporub or lemon juice. Both work for toenail fungus. Apply morning and night.

Tea tree oil works for some and not others just like certain medications work for some but not others, so the best thing is to try it. Get 100% tea tree oil. The liquid kind. One drop on the nail twice a day. Prices vary. I have a small bottle that was $7 but this stuff is so strong that one bottle will last a long time. Remember toenail fungus takes a while to clear so whatever you try is going to take a long time to work.

You can also try essential lavendar oil. You just rub it all over the nail like once or twice a day.

My toe nails started turning orangey brown a while back and I panicked, thinking that I had a terrible fungus. Even bought and started using expensive medicine... Turned out that the sunless tanning lotion I was using was "tanning" my toenails! :) Putting some polish on them before I coated my feet was the only cure I needed. I know your problem won't be solved as easily, but I hope that healing happens soon.

Why not see a Podiatrist and know what is really going on?

Vaporub is an old wive's tail. Nail fungus requires prescription medication and must be obtained through a doctor's office and with a presciption.
