So I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but is it OK to kiss someone if I have a cold sore in my nose, but not on my mouth? My BF already gets cold sores (only when he has a fever) so I'm not worried about giving it to him, but I am worried about activating it. He's had it since he was little, so he has built up the antibodies. Just wondering what you guys think... Anyone?

no its not really ok because people can 'shed' the virus even when the have no visable sores. that is how i got it. it is ok to kiss HIM as you said he already has the antibodies, but be careful about kissing other people such as friends or family members who have never had a cold sore before.
i got this from www.herpes.com :
Both viral types are easily transmitted to their site of preference, and can also be spread to other sites. Both are most contagious during active outbreaks, but are often spread through viral shedding when there are no recognizable symptoms. According to Spruance, people with recurrent oral HSV-1 shed virus in their saliva about 5% of the time even when they show no symptoms.
