Hiya all,,

right this is probley going to be a long post so bare with me, about 3months ago i got a headach,it just felt like a normal migrane,so i ignored it as best i could and tryed to carry on,but a week later it was STILL there, i went to the dr and she said it was probley viral,so i went home with some tablet's...2weeks on the tablets it did seem to feel a little better, but not totally gone,a few weeks after that,i went back to the dr,she said it could be my sinus's,gave me a nasal spray and some more tablets!! 2 weeks on them and my headach had basically gone, but a week after that , i got the flu and it came back!! so i got the same tablets from the dr, and my headach went,it was still there a little but it was going! now i have the flu again, and the headach is indeed BACK!

Heres what i have..oh and also, its there as soon as i wake up,till when i go to bed, altho in the morning it isnt as bad!

**Throbbing just above both my eyes
**Pain in the side of my head
**Achy eyes, really painfull like ive been crying for weeks,i feel like i have to press something agasint my eyes to make it go away, but it dosent lol
**Sometimes i get the odd pain in my nose, but nothing major.
**Dull achyness in my head
**Sometimes get some sharp pains in my neck or face
**My neck sometimes feels a bit stiff and achy

Also, the side or back of my head has felt numb a few times, only twice in 2 days, like ill be leaning agasint a pillow and all of a sudden it feels numb, what is this?? Is it a brain tumour? i am so scared!!
It surely isnt a sinus infection?? it cant last for this long, and also i have no drainage from my nose or anything.... i am seriously worried.

You know, I had a lot of these symptoms when I had Lyme Disease. Is that a possibility for you? Not sure where you live, but where I live there is a lot of it. It causes non- relenting headache in some, shooting pains, flu-like symptoms. You can get more information if you google it and you can discuss the possibility with your doctor.

Were the tablets you took antibiotics? If it was Lyme, that should have helped.

I've had something very similar now for 6 months, doctor first diagnosed sinus infection and put me on steroids, no help. Then diagnosed dehydration and put me on "8 Advil a day and gatorade!!!" No help - no surprise...
Have had skull X-rays and MRI, both came back clear and last neurologist I saw put it down to stress.
My dentist checked me for TMJ disorder and didn't think it was that so today am going to a chiropractor to see if it is a trapped nerve. The only thing I am stressing about now is the headache so if it is stress, it's a never ending circle, I stress about the headaches and that stresses me enough to make them worse which I then stress about even more. It's all very well saying calm down and don't worry but I can't read anything, use a computer for more than 5 minutes, drive, watch TV, even looking for food on supermarket shelves makes me headaches worse.
I just want an answer and I don't care anymore if it's something terrible, I just want to be able to treat it.
