Hi everyone...I'm new to the board and have a question about haircare. My hair is very thick and I color regularly (b/c of gray) and used to straighten it everyday. I have since stopped straightening b/c of the drying and have tried to let it naturally dry. However, when I let it naturally dry it gets frizzy and has a icky wave to it, so I keep it clipped up. I don't know what shampoos and conditioners are out there that won't cause drying. I want to be able to blow dry my hair again without the drying and the ends feeling rough.....anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks so much!
Jenn

Go with a natural conditioner for dry hair. I'm in the same boat. I absolutely have to straighten my hair otherwise I look Wack. I use a brand called Jason Natural which is found in pretty much any health store. I use the aloe vera conditioner. You can also try taking flax seed oil.

once you have damaged your hair, its pretty much irreversible, you will have to grow it out and cut off the dead ends. However, you can make it healthy feeling by using a reconstructor. Try finding a CAT rinse. or if you have heard of SALLY beauty supply, try ION hair reconstructer. only use it once a week.
