Does anyone have occasional nausea as a symptom of MS?? Over the past couple of weeks or so, I have had it hit me out of the blue at random times....it last for a few minutes then passes.

Just wondering.....

Thanks

i feel ya on this one. for the past 2 months i have been continually car sick. sometimes i just feel like im in an elevator- you know that gross feeling like your stomach just went up into your throat? like that. and i feel often like i may as well be on a boat thats rocking. at least its a gentle current...
but sometimes its REALLY bad and people tell me i lose my color and look ill.
see if your doc can double check your ears. who knows- the vertigo can be a secondary symptom of things like flu or strep throat even. makre sure youre healthy and it really IS an MS symptom before you just accept it as part of the daily regimen.

I have had a lot of problems with nausea but never really connected it to the MS!

I have to move very slowly in the morning, can't think of food till I go through a routine of juice and coffee.

I am so queasy right now, I feel horrible.

Hello,
Me, too. I am taking phenergan to control my nausea and it does help. I will be having a brain MRI tomorrow (my first) mostly because of this nausea. It was vertigo when it started 3 months ago but now the nausea is becoming a constant and the vertigo-like sensations and imbalance are only occassional guests whereas they were so very present just 2 weeks ago. I, too, am having spells of nausea that can come on very strong. I also have days when it is just a nagging companion. I am logging it daily and I level it on a 0-10 scale just like pain. Three weeks ago I was so sick with this and more than a little surprised to learn that recurrent, severe or long-term nausea and especially with vertigo sensations is most likely a symptom of MS or brain tumors (excluding viruses, chemo and other known causes)! That gave me a few bad moments, I can tell you. And it got me an MRI in a heck of a hurry cuz the neuro didn't like it one bit.
Driving is the worst! And being a passenger is nearly impossible for me now. Makes returning to work and my 40 minute commute a bit tricky! Hoepfully, I'll have some answers soon. Best of luck to you and maybe consider asking about either meclizine or phenergan. Saltines didn't do the job for me. Suzy-Q
