Both of us are recovering from our 1st outbreak. How soon after it clears up can we have sex? Should we wait for a prescribed number of days? I've got a feeling that this isn't an exact science, and that we will have to decide together when it feels right. Just looking for some input. :)

My girl has not been diagnosed with it, but that's not saying she does not have it. I had my first outbreak in October when I got sick. We had sex a little too soon and it caused a second outbreak. It's just about completely healed, but I am waiting till all evidence is gone. Want to avoid friction near the OB area.
That's about all I can share with you. I'm going to remain on Valtrex for an extra few weeks then come off it and hope for the best.
