any suggestions on keeping the foot from dropping when sleeping, w/o buying a podus boot??? I know (I hope) that if I can keep my calves stretched at night, some of my heel pain will go away. Stretching in the am doesn't do me any good, neither does stretching at night. It is like it has to have more.
I thought about an ankle brace, but not sure
Any thoughts???

This is what I did for my last 7 surgeries. I have one of the bed back rest pillows with the small arm rest. I put that under my foot with another very soft/thin cheap pillow on top. the arm rest keep the foot from falling off. but to do this you also need more pillows under the leg. I put a good pillow under my leg lengthwise, from thigh to ankle. then under my anke I put another pillow left to right (making a T with the pillows). that supports the ankle. this way, when you roll over your foot is protected and supported. Hope that helps.
