I would like to buy a good, inexpensive mascara. I have fairly long eyelashes but they are sparse on the bottom. I would like one that would make my eyelashes look full and natural. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!

L'oreal Voluminous is the absolute best. Maybelline volume express in the black tube is a very close second. you could also do false lashes as well

Max Factor 2000 calorie is one of my favorites.

These 3 previously recommended ones are the ones I see raved about the most. I have been using L'Oreal Voluminous for years but Wally's had a twin pack of the Maybelline Volume Express(so I decided to try) and comparing L'Oreal and Mayb. is this: L'Oreal's is much globbier so it will go on a lot thicker and the Mayb. wand comes out of the tube clean so it requires more coats for the same look. But the Mayb. is easier to work with....like when I use the L'Oreal brush I have to wipe it off onto the opening of the tube to get the globs off the brush...none of that with the Mayb. Volume Ex. I have not yet tried the 2000 Calorie.

Right now I'm using Chanel Inimitable. It works great but it's a bit pricey.. I got lucky and got a miniature version for free to try and it's been lasting longer than I expected. I like the spiky looking brush.. those work well to get your lashes clump free.
I really like Rimmel's Lycra Lash Extender.. but since yours are already long, you may not even need that. Maybelline Full and Soft is good for a natural but thick look. It's nice b/c it keeps your lashes soft so it won't make the mascara flake or anything.
My mom's favorite is the Voluminous one but it didn't work as well for me for some reason!

You should try Ulew's mascara. It's more expensive than a drug store brand, but it is a natural alternative to chemical makeup. It's a great product. Just go to ulew.com-I just bought a buch of makeup from them and they're really nice. Good luck!

Recommended by my aesthetician: Great Lash by Maybelline. She's used it for 20 years. Get Blackest Black. I am fair-skinned and the black looks great on me even though normally black is too harsh.
Great price: about $5. Even greater: About twice a year, my drugstore offers a 2-for-1 price and I grab a couple.
btw, did you know that you should throw out your mascara every three months and open a new tube? Avoids germ buildup.

I love showing off my long lashes and I like them black!! I use Blackest Black by Maybalene and it is amazing and it lasts for along time. It's only 5 bucks too!!

Without a doubt in my mind: Maybelline Full'n Soft. It is hands down the best mascara I have ever used. I have tried and discarded so many... ranging from $50 top of the line exclusive mascara to the drugstore brands and I have always come back to Full'n Soft. It is the ONLY mascara that has withstood the test of time. I just hope that Maybelline doesn't decide to change the winning formula and do a "new and improved" version which almost always isn't improved.

I hope they don't change it either! I really like Full N Soft. There are a few others I like but this is definitely one of my favorites. The Great Lash Blackest Black didn't work for me.. it just didn't make a big difference on me and didn't come out as well as others.

i agree that Full'n Soft is a great mascara. i used to love it. but my skin was very oily at the time and it always smudged real bad under my eyes. now that my skin is dry, i should try it again!

Thanks everyone for all the input. Looks like the Maybeline Full & Soft is the winner with the most votes! I have alot of options to choose from. I'll let you know how I like the one I decide on.

I like Lash Exact. It's one of those with a spikey brush.
I guess Full and Soft is what I used to use and love before trying all those with the spiky brushes and combs. I make a mess with the one with the comb.
I just bought Featherlash from L'oreal thinking it was my old favorite Full and Soft. Also, Paula Begoin reviewed it and said the water resistent version really was nicely water resistent, yet still washed off easily. So it seemed like a good idea. But either I have a defective tube or it is some wet gunky stuff. Because I can't get enough of it off the brush. It's a mess.

I just tried Cover Girl's new Volume Exact. It has the same spikey brush as Lash Exact but I guess is supposed to build thicker lashes. I like it. I'm all for volume, but mostly, I don't want clumps and don't want it to be difficult to apply clump free. This does that.

Maybelline Lash expansion. It is really easy to work with and it never gets thick and chunky. Very good for thickening without the clumps.

I'm with NodiGoiterGirl! (Hi from a few hours north in Western Ill) I have been using this for about 3 years and it's great stuff!! Two coats and my lashes are long and thick without being goopey! I've even had some nervy people ask me if they are fake!

Hey Everyone!
Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll let you all know when I make a decision as to which one to try. Also, even tho I am in Louisiana now, I grew up in Illinois. Was born in East St. Louis! Small, small world.!
