Hi Bev my names Jo , ive just been told that my daughter has kawasaki disease. I dont really know that much about it , trying to look on line for as much info as possible. She has most of the symptoms that ive come across for KD. She has had many blood tests showing inflammation in her blood, but i was most worried about the skin peeling , her excessive tiredness and the pain she was getting in her joints, It was diagnosed by 2 dermatologists, but i now have to wait 4 days to see her consultant. Just worried as everything ive read says that if not treated in the first two weeks then it can lead to serious heart problems, and she has been ill for about 9 weeks now. How did you get your diagnosis and did they treat him straight away? Is there anything you can tell me to put my mind at ease, also once they have it does it keep re occuring ???? I would be grateful for any information off you

my nephew was diagnosed a couple of years ago. He's in 3rd grade now and 9 years old and doing great! he had some issues when he was younger but hasnt had any in a long time.

hopefully your children will be as blessed! so sorry they are going thru it
