Does Anyone Know How Soon After A Cone Biospy You Can Return To Work? I Had One Done On 1/5 And Have Been Resting Since But I Need To Return To Work Tomorrow. I Have No Bleeding, But A Small Discharge. Thanks!

I had the Leep done and I went back to work in two days. Just don't do any lifting for a month, rest a lot and take your vitamins(foic acid 1mg, vit C 250mg, vit E 200mg and multivitamin daily)

I wish you the best. Let me know how your doing.

Dear Glo, (that Was My Moms Name)
Thanks So Much For Writing Back. I Am Planning To Go Back To Work Wed, It Will Be 5 Days. I Am Confused, I Thought I Would Have Bleeding As I Had A D&c Along With The Cone/leep. I Am Just Spotting A Light Discharge. I Stand And Work For 7 Hrs A Day And Was Just Concerned It May Be Too Much. Maybe I Am Just Babying Myself Too Much, But The Dr Did Not Give Me Clear Instructions. Anyway, I Hope You Are Doing Well And I Will Pray For You. Did It Take You A While To Get The Results? They Told Me 3 Weeks. Thanks And God Bless...

I think as soon as you feel better you can work. As long as you aren't exerting yourself too much. I had my cone on a Friday, rested all weekend, and was back to normal (pretty much) by Monday.

I didn't have bleeding either until 2 weeks later, than I had a lot. My doc said that it is common to have increased bleeding at the 2-week mark. There is another thread about that down this page or maybe on page two. Anyway, don't freak out if that happens to you (like I did!).

Good luck!

I wasn't given any specific instructions about needing to rest at all. While I was in recovery I asked the dr when I could start running again and he said to wait 2-3 weeks. Other than that I resumed normal activity the very next day.

I have had light bleeding for over 3 weeks now. As Sippy said, I too experienced some heavy bleeding right at the 2 week mark and again at the 3 week mark. Since the heavy bleeding at the 3 week mark I have had VERY light bleeding. Mostly just when I wipe.

I have my 4 week follow up appt tomorrow and I believe I am just about done bleeding now.

Thanks To Those Who Wrote Back, I Really Appreciate It.
The Dr Said 3 Weesk To Get Results, Does That Sound Right?
I Have Been Reading And Reading On My Types Of Abnormal Cells But They Sound Very Rare. Did Anyone Have A-typical Glandular Cells?
Thanks So Much

Dear Redzic407,

It was around 3 weeks for the results. I had cin11 and the margins showed low grade change at the margin edge. All the cin11 was remved. I then had my first pap after leep. It was bad, it showed I still have cin1. I'm waiting to see what my dr wants to do now. I have heard that if I take vitmans and eat good it can go away by it's self. Does anyboby know if that is ture? As I am wanting to have a child in a year or so. I am 34 and I have 2 older children. I had them at a very young age. I have been divorced from there father but, we still get along good. I have a wonderful man I am seeing now and we plan to marry soon. He has no children and we would love to have a child together. I feel like maybe I should try now before it gets worse and I won't be able to. Does anyboby has advise on this?

As far as going back to work after Leep/cone. I would take it easy. If you stand all day, try to find time to rest as much as you can. At my job, I sit a lot.

I didn't bleed a lot after my leep. I did have a lot of liquid ( light brown). It was so much. I felt like I wet my pants at times. I also had some spotting between my periods.

It's so nice to be able to talk about this. I will pray for you and God bless you all. Let me know how it's going.

Hi Glo,
How Are You? I Am Going To Try To Answer Your Questions.

First, Eating Right Is What We Should All Do, But No I Really Do Not Believe It Can Go Away On It's Own. I Think We All Need To Take Better Care Of Ourselves, But Sometimes You Can Hear About People In The Very Best Of Health That Get Cancer. It Is Unexplainable. I Do Beleive Prayer Can Help, But We Must Be Ready And Able To Accept God's Will For Ourselves. It May Not Be What We Want But He Always Knows Best And Has A Reason For Everything We Go Through.

I Am Happy You Are In A Loving Relationship, But I Would Not Get Pregnant Until You Get The Go Ahead From Your Dr. It Is Very Important To Make Sure You Are In The Best Health For Yourself Before Thinking Of Having A Baby.

I Am Not Sure What "margins" Are Or What You Mean By Cin11. I Have Read So Much, But It Is Hard To Take In All The Details. I Feel So Lost.

I Am Praying This Will All Be A Nightmare I Will Wake Up From. I Am So Afraid. I Get My Results On The 24th.

When Do You Go Back To The Dr?

Be Well, God Bless...
Linda

Hi Linda,

Thank you so much for your support. Everything you have said is right. I am going to put faith in God and go with God's will. I do want a child but my health comes first. I can just hope it will clear up in a year.

As far as the info on the margins. That means when you have Leep. They kind of cut the bad cells off of your cervic. The margins are the specimens edge. I had CIN II with a focal extension of CIN I to the ectocervical margin and a negative endocerical margin. I guess this means the margins show they got all the CIN II but, didn't get all the CIN I? CIN III and CIN II are cancer causing cells. CIN I is (I guess safe) but not good because it can turn into CIN II or III. I seen my DR and she said I had a low grade pap so she wants me to go another 4 months for a pap. If that one shows low again then I go another 4 months and if no change I will have a colposcpy again to see what is going on. If I go in 4 months and it is med or high grade I go for a colposcpy then. SOOOOOOO more waiting and worry:confused:

I have been trying to find out more about what you have going on but, I'm not sure. I will keep looking. I will help and support you as much as I can. I know how you feel. I am so afraid too.

Take care, and let me know about the results on the 24th.

Glo
