Hi all
I am new to the boards so first wanted to say hello :)
Now my question lol.
Does anyone suffer from very low blood pressure after they have had a tonic clonic seizure. After my last 3 I have and it seems to stay low for about 24 hours. This was the case espically for the seizure I hade the time before last. I had 2 TC's with a gap of 5 mins between. I was told the first was about 7 mins long and the 2nd a few mins long, but apperently at the hospital my blood pressure was 84/42. It went up to about 90/50 with in 24 hours but I was wondering if this was a common thing. The other 2 TC's that I have been hospitalised for I have had quite low BP.
My BP is generally in the normal range.
thanks for reading

Hiya and nice to meet you from across the pond! Sorry you're here for the reason we're all here, tho'. :(
And really sorry you've had so many TC's. yikes! I've "only" had one TC "Grand Mal" and, as I remember nothing from my stay in the ER that day...DH had told me that my BP was so low it was "scary" and the doc kept saying "We've got to get that up..." So I'm thinking low BP is the norm after our brains misfire so crazily like that!!

Hi,
When I have seizures, sometimes my BP does not register, at all. Also You cannot find my pulse, no where. The BP will not register in either arm. I remember an ET asking me if I were sure that I was alive. He was laughing but I was not laughing. My heartbeat (sinus rhythm) was normal on the monitor. No one has ever explained to me why this happens.
