Hi, I'm a 39 year old mother of two. I began having complex partial seizures when I was pregnant with my last child 5 years ago. Also have one status grand mal under my belt. Hopefully that was a one time event.

I was on dilantin for several years and am now on keppra and have had very good luck with it. I normally have some "lightning" and partial seizures while falling asleep right before my period, though lately it seems to be happening more and more often at anytime during the month. I'm going to go to a new neuro in a month or so (we recently moved) so I get to find out if Texas neuros are as obnoxious as Kentucky neuros.

Anyway, I do have a question. Recently I began having spells of severe nausea right before I fall to sleep. Or I will wake-up during the night with it. The next day I will feel slightly hung-over and slightly nauseated all day. I've lost about 8 pounds. Sounds almost like a symptom of pregnancy doesn't it?? Well I'm not because my husband has been deployed since March so that can't be it.

I just wonder if anyone else experiences nausea as sort of an aura? I'm going to go to a regular doc next week to get other things ruled out before I go to the neuro with this.

Anyway, thanks for your time..

Sorry, I have no clue. Sometimes before I go to sleep I get quick light flashings like lightning. I have nausia every now and then but I don't think it is related at all to "E". Everyone is different though so you have to remember that. Hmmmmmmm, I don't know. When do you see your doc?? Let me know how you are doing ok?!

You are in my prayers. (((HUGS)))

God Bless,
KittyMom

I am also new and have had some nausea associated with days previous to or leading up to siezures, but I am not sure it is related. Let me know what you find out.

Chris
