Hi, I am in surgical menopause due to a hysterectomy. I have decided not to take HRT. I don't trust them. But I was wondering if anyone gets cold spells. I don't really have hot flashes, just spells of warmth and I do get night sweats, but are cold flashes normal??? I think I get more cold flashes than warm ones.

Any other cold flashers out there or am I abnormal? lol

Take care,
slimseeker

slimseeker,
I am in peri not in menopause yet but I do get cold flashes. I get chilled out of nowhere. I don't get the regular hot flashes that everyone else gets. (yet!) I do get times though when only my ears get warm. It's weird!

Yes,I get the cold flashes all of the time.I'm always running to turn up the heat! As a matter of fact I had them alot today. I am perimenopausal and although I've had a few of what I describe as warm flushes the cold flashes are more frerquent. I agree wit you. I will never go on HRT even if I ever have to have a hysterectomy. There are too many risks with it.
