just wondering, i have HPV and i had to go in for a repeat pap cause I was LSIL...if it gets worse i have to have surgery. My mom is worried sick about me and i don't want her to worry, so if I dont want to say anything. I'm 21 yrs. old on her insurance. Do most insurances pay for these kind of things to get done..cause i don't have the money if have to get one done. :(

While I cannot speak for all insurance companies, I have Aetna and they covered the leep for me - no problem. I just had to fill out some paperwork when they received the claim explaining what my condition was. The only thing I was responsible for was my co-pay.

Good luck!

I think they do, I mean... it's not optional, right? I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and they covered my LEEP and my CKC with no problem.

If it's a fairly standard insurance plan, they will most likely cover it minus any copay/coinsurance. I have blue cross, and had no issues what so ever.

They'd probably rather cover a $1000 procedure (that's what was approximately charged to my insurance) than hundreds of thousands of dollars for treating invasive cancer.

Good luck with your test results!
