It seems this is my second time since missing a cycle September 05. I missed my Dec. cycle and am feeling so fatiguded and bloated and can't seem to get enough sugar. I love to treadmill 7 miles a day five to six times a week and this has really bogged me down. I am so fatigued and can't seem to eat enough and tonight went out and bought some midol pills for the bloating.

I know zinc is important for low blood sugar a side affect of menstruation. Anyone who can give me some input I would appreciate.

My missed cycle was precipitated with a terrible feeling of a bladder infection which the prescription led to a yeast infection but I feel very heavy down there, I even did a pregnancy test to confirm at home that I wasn't.

How does one deal with this... I must be incredibly vain as I feel like I am four to five months pregnant and it is seriously starting to depress me as I take pride in my appearance. HELP!!! No one to talk to about this. All my friends are younger and my husband though sympathetic calls hormones HORRORMONES so its hard to bother him about it.

Having lost most of five to seven years of my 40's to back injury and spine surgeries I am really stunned to now be assaulted with this. Whatever interventions I can get I would appreciate knowing about... my female dr. seems to be a space cadet about this and says "oh" when I tell her but offers no advice.

Hi:

Have you talked to a gyn about possible options to help get you through this time. My personal belief is that no one should just suffer silently.

You might want to add Omega 3's, flax seed oil, B Stress vitamins, and magnesium into your diet. Also, try to eliminate the sugars as this will give you a quick high and then really dump you down into exhaustion. Get lots of water each day, that will help with the bloating.

If life becomes too miserable, I would consider other options like the mini pill, a short time on HRT (if your doctor supports it) or natural progersterone cream.

You don't deserve to feel miserable all the time.

Thanks for your compendium of information. I woke up today and did my treadmill but by 9 a.m. felt exhausted and its 6:00 pm. and I am ready for bed.

I will venture out tomorrow and purchase the OMEGA's. The magnesium I have and I know of some great flax seed health cookies I can add to my morning tea.

I do know you are right about white sugar and slowly have transferred to brown and honey and gave up coffee (day three). So I know I can help myself with the interventions you mentioned.

I noticed quite a bit of hair loss in my hair brush and on my holidays away and my hairdresser/friend today noticed my hair thinning. She mentioned that my hormone fluctuations (which happened in pregnancy) can cause this, the number of operations, medicine and suggested I speak to dr. about low thyroid which can commence during menopause.

So there is lots I can do to get rid of these sleepyhead feelings...Thanks kindly...Nero:wave:
