About 3 months ago i woke up in the morning and was not feeling good at all...i was very cold, dyhydrated and upset stomach decided to shake it off then went to school during a break in the mall i had three dizzy spells where the whole room around spun very quickly, the thrid time it happened my friend told me that i turned bright red then white in a second....i starting shaking my heart was racing, i was hot/cold, feeling of unrealness. I had my friend take me to the hospital, i could not walk. The paramadics had to wheelchair me in, and when they did the ground went like i was on a boat. After a couple tests and 8 hours later the doctor told me i had a "epoisde". But thing was is that for 3 months straight i was bascially in bed...i would feel swaying everytime i stood up, horrible feeling of feeling like i was on drugs. I finally went to the doctors and had more tests , i came back went a urinary tract infection, i took anti-botics and finally after 3months felt better...but the thing is i am soo convinced that i had a panic attack that it scares me to death to go really anywhere at all in fear that it was a attack and it will happen again. I have been a couple places and have been fine but the thought of that ever happening again limits me signficantly. O ya even tho i have been feeling a lot better i have had eye flashes since the begininng of this and there are constant..what does that mean? ....anixety?????? any suggestions would be much appreciated:)

Sounds to me like maybe some type of viral thing was going on you did have that infection. The antibiotics helped so thats why I believe that. You say you were dehydrated well that can cause all those symptoms as well.I do think there was some anxiety/panic involved though too and understandably so.I would give it some time and just try to relax and dont let this keep you from going about your days.See how it goes if your having a hard time then id talk to the doctor about it again.

I am not sure what you mean by "eye flashes." I did (and still do sometimes) used to get floaters alot (small dark specks or dots floating in my vision).I also had this one grey or black area in my right eye off and on for months.I do not know if anxiety can cause those things or not but I know vision things can but it isnt nessecarily harmful lots of people have weird vision things.Have you ever tried talking about the "flashes" with an eye doctor?

It sounds like the dizziness in itself CAUSED the panic attack, but wasn't just a panic attack out of the blue altogether.. The heart beats, sudden temperature changes, shaking and stuff like that were definitely anxiety. Probably a result of the dehydration and stuff, that could make you dizzy.

Next time you feel yourself having dizzy spells, if you ever do have them again, just leave the area for a few minutes. I'm sure whoever's there will understand that you just need a break and a little while to collect yourself. The key in having a panic attack is that you need to keep in mind that you're not going to die, you're not going to pass out, or anything like that. Just take a few deep breaths until you feel a bit better if you're ever in that situation again.

By eye flashes, do you mean your eyes will black out for a few seconds? Mine do that sometimes.

By the eye flashes, they are blue flashes of light...like a camera flash, they start from the corner of my eye they separate around my eye...p.s i do have a rare eye condition but have never had flashes of blue before.

Hi Nettie333

I had those flashes - i used to look through the window if there was lightning outside and was surprised to see clear blue skies. I also had the sensation of seeing something from the corner of my eye and when I look in that direction there is nothing there. I read on another site that this is quite a common phenomenon to anxiety sufferers. I sometimes had the flashes while I was sleeping - kinda weird. I was very relieved to find out that it is an anxiety symptom and I have not had it for a long time.
The best thing to do would be to consult someone who is a specialist in the field if it bothers you.

Greetings
