My girlfriend has told me my heartbeat sounds "squishy". This doesn't sounds right to me.

I've also been having tightness when under preasure and also when with alot of alcohol in.

But I also get indegestion and sometimes mix it up, as it causes pain in the same area.

I used to take alot of drugs, mainly speed, but haven't touched any for 10 months as I had a bad episode, what felt like a minor heart attack but I can't really say that as I never got checked out.

I'm sure this has weakened or damaged my heart in some way.

Anyone have any idea what a "squishy" heartbeat could indicate?

No guess on "squishy."

Heart murmur? That would be my guess.

It's best to have it checked out. A family Doctor can do an EKG of your heart and it will literally only take about 5 minutes.

It would be worth it to you just for the peace of mind.

I have a heart murmur and I have been told it sounds squishy. It's fine though and that gives me no problems at the moment but they will keep it monitored!

Could indicate a valve problem. There are two sounds with each heartbeat. Is the "squishy" sound with the first sound or the second sound?

Went to the doc today. He had a listen and took my BP. Said everything seems fine :)

Thanks to everyone who replied anyway

Once in a while... I get the feeling or sound from my heartbeat that I would compare to... when you squeeze or hold a garden hose in half... and the water still goes through... but it makes the squishing kinda noise.

There are many places on the Internet, that have various heart sounds that you can listen to, and compare to your own heart sounds. If you have a stethoscope and feel like playing doctor, here is a link to one of them:
