Well I'm getting more annoyed rather than worried about my headaches to be honest. They started in July last year and gradually got worse. I seen the doctor several times and seemed to get no where, was told it was tension headaches most of the time.

I've got glasses now, they don't help, changed my diet and started exercising to see if that helped, maybe a little but its mainly been the same. I had an appointment arrange with a specialist at the start of November but by the time I had to go see him, I had been headache free for 2 weeks (best 2 weeks of my life) but after that I started to feel the tension building up again.

I gave up on doctors and self diagnosed myself as a stress/anxiety sufferer (I had many of the anxiety symptoms, lumpy throat, fear of heart attack, brain tumours, aches and pains, upset stomach etc) but now my headaches are back with a bang and getting to there worst, sore head from the min I wake up...

Any thoughts on this? I also get sore/stiff necks too as if I have a very heavy head. If I had 2 weeks headache free and I also get some good days where I don't suffer, surely its just tension and stress that brings it on and nothing underlying??

Not being funny but what will this do for me. Been told breathing exercises may help but never had the urge to trying them.

Anyone else have similar sore heads?

What type of specialist?

What type of drugs did the doctor & specialist prescribe for your headaches?

No harm in going for a 3rd opinion.

I was given Amatriptline (spelling) 25mg to try out to maybe try and relax me but I never really felt it was working.

I have no idea what type of specialist he was, a consultant for the NHS(UK) and all he done was the usual look behind the eyes, checked my vision and made sure all my legs, hands and arms worked properly and I wasn't lacking in power....

I've got to say I work 8hours infront of a computer and more recently I've been on a computer all night and day which may be part of the problem but thats my work and there is no escaping it.

Right now I have very tense shoulders and neck, tight band feeling round my head, maybe a better way to describe it is....it feels like someone has got hold of a string on the back of my head and pulling all my muscles in my head and neck back to cause a strain!! Grrr....

Got the doctors on tuesday for the first time in months.

Was told if my headaches came back I could get scans arrange etc so...
