Hello - my almost 5yo autistic son does not seem to fit in any of the forward facing car seats any more. I have tried the convertible seats - where the shoulder strap goes across the body, but my houdini can get out of anything. Any suggestions on brands or makes that offer the traditional car seats for larger kids. My eldest daughter 9 is getting sick of holding him in while we are driving as he tries to escape:D
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi,
At a school for autistic children, and many of the older children (too big to be in a car seat) wear a harness in the vans and buses, to prevent them from getting out of the seat. It looks like a parachute harness. It is called the "E-Z-On Adjustable Vest." The harness is adjustable (with three options of places to zipper in the back), so it should last you a long time.
