The top is high, if it is like that at all times or most of the time. If not, it could be a spike, but still should be checked. Where did U get this reading, at a drs. office, at home, or some machine in a store? My BP seems fine at home, yet when I go to the dr. it is up around 145/90, then after we talk for awhile and I calm down, it goes to about 125/78. They call that white coat syndrome.
U really need to get a home tester, and not a finger or wrist one, very inaccurate, and take your BP 3 times a day for a week or so to see how it really is. The store machines are usually off as well. When taken at home, it should also be about the same time each day.
Good luck....

A spike is sometimes when U are stressed, or maybe U were in a hurry so U weren't calm. Even when I had very low BP, if I got excited about something, or had to hurry for a drs. appt. he would get a high number till I quieted down.
Even people on BP meds. sometimes get spikes, it just happens. As long as your not having those readings all the time, I wouldn't worry about it, but U could mention it to your dr. next time U are there. Even drs. machines need to be calibrated, and many aren't as often as they should be. Everyones BP varies from day to day, hr. to hr.
Hope this helped.....

Yes, in fact when I went to my GYN, my top numbers was 142 and bottom was 56, really weird, as I have never had that kind of a reading. When the dr. checked it the reading was 134/74. Sometimes they don't always get it right either. I know my dr. always checks it at least once after the nurse does, even my husbands dr. does. If it is a lil wacky next dr. visit, ask him/her to please check it again. Don't be afraid to ask questions, that is what U are paying them for.
Best wishes......

Please spell out words so that people can read and understand what you are saying. This is not an sms message site or chat room. Many readers have difficulty understanding shorthand (U, u, r, ppl, cos, etc).
