I have no experience with it, but let me know how it works for you.
Hi Mike !
I took Neurontin 1200mg 2x@day for approx 6 months... it did help with the pain... I have Fibromyalgia and Arthritis in my neck.. bone spur...
I had a major problem with it affecting my short term memory... I was in HR at the time and interviewing applicants for a whole week.. the next week I wouldnt have been able to pick any of them out of a line up.. luckily I did my interviewing based on a written eval and testing... so I went with the best on those things.. it could have been really bad.. so I quit taking it... I also have a friend who takes it now for pain due to back surguries and nerve damage from diabetes... he also has had memory problems.. I am a firm believer in that everyone reacts differently to meds and it is best to give it a try and see how it helps you.. just remember that to give it at least a 2 week trial for side effects to subside

I tried neurontin and had nasua(sp) and extreme sleepiness. I also heard it can cause major weight gain but I had my Dr switch me to Topamax before I experienced any of the weight gain and ended up losing 60 pounds on the Topamax. The neurontin and Topamax both cause (brain fogs) but at least I didn't gain weight. A coworker has gained 45 pounds on the neurontin and absolutely hates it. She has tried to get off it and says she experiences tingles? Topamax also helped my migraines.
