I had a needle biopsy done on Monday, and within a couple of hours, an area of my skin near where they'd put the biopsy needle in started to itch. A day later, when I took the tape off the wound, there was a big, red welt on my skin near the wound. It was near where the tape ended, so I thought maybe it was irritation from the tape. But it's been red and very, very itchy ever since. This morning when I woke up, I looked at it again, and the red area is smaller, but it shows now that there are two distinct red areas that look like bug bites, and there's a thin line of swollen skin conecting the two areas. I think it's from where they put the needle in where they injected me with the stuff to make the area numb. My doctor put the needle in a few different places in the area. The weird thing is that I can see one injection site that looks normal. Just those other two are really red and swollen up like a couple of bad bug bites. Is this an allergic reaction to whatever it is they injected me with to make the area numb? If it is, then why didn't all the injection sites swell up like this?

Thanks in advance!
