I dont want to sound like a preacher man here, or a religious fanatic

but prayer does help with anxiety, for all of you that haven't tried it....

i suggest you pray to whatever god or power you believe in...

im not here to convert anyone, but give it a whirl

thanks,

Thank You for hte advice...
Actually i have been praying a lot more lately. More then I ever did before... It's odd how desperation bring you to God.

I think it's great advice, Snap. I too, am no religious fanatic, but I do consider myself to be spiritual and I remember at the height of my anxiety driving in my car and just shouting my prayers to God to help me. I pray all the time to God and I know he/she hears me for sure because I feel a certain strength that comes over me which helps me deal with this dreaded anxiety when it rears its ugly head!

Of course praying helps----in fact, any meditation that can calm you down and take your mind off the anxious mood is good. Yoga, Taichi, and other relaxation exercises are even better, because they not only divert your mind, but also good for your breathing and physical strength.
