i had ulnar nerve surgery dec. 19. the ortho moved the nerve from the tunnel and placed it under a muscle, he also cut off some of my funny bone? i was wondering if anyone has had this done, and if so why does it hurt so bad when i try to straighten my arm. my mom says that if i dont start straightening it more then it will heal and be bent forever. how long will the pain last?

thanks,
Melissa

Not sure if you are still having some problems after surgery but this is what i did for awhile afterward. Since I was in a sling for 10 days after my surgery my arm was used to bing at an angle so I started using a couple of small pillows to keep my arm elevated and I did this for about 3 months and in the meantime i kept tring to straighten my arm and eventually I did. But if you are concerned call your dr and ask him.
