Xanax has no drowsiness effect on me during the day, but you have to take it every day to get over the drowsiness otherwise you will get drowsy every time you take it. After three days of taking whatever dosage your doctor prescribes, the drowsiness is gone and by the end of the day you are ready for bed. It works woders for me. It doesn't last as long as Klonopin though, so you may have to adjust the number of times you take it per day to keep from having break through panic. I take it 4x per day to even out the spacing and have no problems with it.
