I see the meds everyones on and it floors me. I'm on 200mg of Carbatrol 2x a day and I rarely can handle that much and I only take one. For a little while last spring I was having problems with my seizures and the neuro gave me a 300mg and it totally totally knocked me out. I was so drugged up and sick.
Whats everyone else on?

I am currently on Keppra 1500mg twice a day and Lamictal 200mg twice a day. I've tried a few others but had bad side effects, these have been my wonder drug in 3 more days I will have been seizure free for 1 year!!! Not that I count the days or anything :D

I am on 2000mg keppra...150mg zoloft and have 1mg xanax to take "when needed" I had some side effects of the zoloft at first and then again after it was upped to the now 150 but i think (let me say i pray) that things are starting to finally level off. If I take a xanax close to when i take my keppra...forget it its over and within an hour im sleeping. The sad thing is, ya never know when you might have a panic or anxiety attack. I take 1000mg keppra and 100 mg zoloft firts thing in morning then 50mg of zoloft around 2pm then 1000mg keppra at bedtime and the xanax as needed. Sometimes i really hate medicine but it has helped in more ways than bad and its juts another thing i have to deal with now...as my husband "so lovingly" puts... :) have a great day

I take 4 Tegretol tabs per day. I haven't had one seizure since I started on it last spring, switching from Dilantin. :)
I also take Calcium with Magnesium, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Zinc and Selenium each day.

I take 300mg of Trileptal 3xdaily and 600mg of Neurontin 4xdaily and 400mg of Advil when needed for headach relief from the kids and hubbie ;)
I do need to look inot that Magnesium. Could be interesting.

hi,
i'm on 600 mgs of Trileptal twice a day and 500 mgs of Keppra twice a day. The side effects suck and I have a breakthrough grand mal about once every 4-6 months plus breakthrough simple partials several times a month.

I take 50 mg of Topamax each day. This was just recently uped from 30 and I was having ten days of no seizure acitivity (which for me is amazing). My docs goal now is twenty days and then when I see him in December if I'm doing okay still with no side effects, he will up me again. I just started with the weight loss, eight pounds in 6 days (yeah!!!).

Hi!
I'm taking 1000 mg/day (2 x 500 mg) of Depakote - it's been great controlling the seizures, but pure hell with the side effects.....

I take 300mg Carbatrol and 200 mg Lamictal in the AM. I take 400mg Carbatrol and 300mg Lamictal in the PM. So far so good! :) Kathy

Hello....I am currently on Lamictal, and it is the ONLY drug I have taken so far that doesn't have bad side effects on me.

I take 150 mg of Lamictal and 2 mg of Klonopin, am and pm, and 800 mgs of Neurontin 6 times a day. I forget about the fog I'm in and feel fine most of the time. I can drive, force myself to function when I don't feel like I can be bothered, and exercise as often as possible.
