is there anybody else out there who does this?

it has become a normal everyday thing for me to check my pulse possibly hundreds of times a day. if i'm with other people, and don't want to look odd checking my pulse at the adams apple/neck, i twitch my eyes every time my heart beats. or i pulsate my fist between the thumb and forefinger.

to be honest with you, i like it after strenuous exercise. because then i don't have to feel for the pulse, because i can already feel it through my whole body when it is much stronger after strenuous exercise.

if i can't feel my pulse, i feel like my blood pressure is slowly going down and i'm going to die :(

My father is constantly doing that. He has a minor heart condition and is obsessed with checking his pulse and pressure. He must check it 1000 times a day. He is obsessive-compulsive, he does not have anxiety per say, but he obsessives a lot over things.

{REMOVED}Yup I do this. The more you check the pulse the more anxious you subconsciously or consciously become..so it will be faster...but I dont think the speed of it is an issue for you..just that you can feel it? The speed of mine is the worry...I hate feeling it in my throat or after exercise. Your not alone really.

I did that for a while,I have no idea how I quit but I would even do it in public but in a sense to look normal with my hand resting on my neck so no one would know,I have moved on to a blood pressure cuff now.Anxiety is no fun!!
