I had an echo, and it showed fluid retention, what does that mean?
My mom has congestive heart failure, so it scared me that he put
me on water pills to get rid of the fluid. Also, found out I had
Mitral valve prolapse.

I don't know about mitral valve prolapse - did the doctor explain what it is? My Mom also has CHF - she takes Lasix among other meds. Do your ankles ever swell up? Also, what is your ejection fraction? Make sure your doctor explains everything to you. Go with a list and ask questions.
