One night I played a PC game with Plane blades spinning on screen. Another evening I watched a cinema film with Chopper blades in. On both nights whilst asleep I had seizures, This could be coincidence, But as I only have seizures during sleep It doesn`t hurt me, also once before I was bad one night after driving along a road which had hatched lines on the side, only for about 1km but it was enough. Take care. - Adam

MY 8 YR. GRANDSON HAS "E" ABSENCE/ PHOTOSENSITIVE SEIZURES. THE DR ADVISES NO COMPUTER VIDEO GAMES,
FLASHING LIGHTS, ETC.
PEEDY DOES HAVE SEIZURES AT NIGHT AND DURING THE DAY.
THE DR SAID HIS WORST SEIZURES ARE THE NIGHT TIME SEIZURES. HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOU HAVE HAD A SEIZURE AT NIGHT? DOES IT WAKE YOU UP?
MY GRANDSON USUALLY WAITS UP CRYING BECAUSE THE BED IS WET AND HE CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED. HE WAS ONLY DIAGNOSED LAST WEEK SO ALL OF THIS IS NEW TO US.
I WILL TRY TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE PHOTOSENSITIVE SEZIURES AND GET BACK TO YOU.
DID YOUR EEG COME OUT OK?

I can imagine that it is still quite frightening to you all seeing as it is still "new". I started to become aware of something wrong when I was at Uni. cos I was waking up with V.bad headaches, and my whole body felt weak, when I bent down (head below waist), blood would rush to head. sometimes would wake in night in a pool of sweat, these are my indications of a seizure at night, and I wouldn`t remember if I was bad or not, Now I live with partner, and she can tell me how bad it was, they are now controlled by Meds and seem to be every 5/6 weeks. Hope this helps, Keep in touch Adam :dizzy

I can understand the chopper thing.

When I am driving along the river road, the trees allow shafts of sunlight through, this almost becomes a strobe effect, it will almost always give me a seizure.

Also, repetative things will give me seizures, echos, mirrors (especially mirrors placed together so that the image sort of goes on forever)

I have seizures frequently at night. They wake me up. I wake up confused and terrified.

I have to go to bed at a decent hour (regardless of what's going on). If I get too tired, it will give me a seizure everytime. Sometimes, when I know that it's going to be a seizure night, I will avoid sleep. But as my husband says "You're either gonna have a seizure awake or asleep, but you can't avoid it forever." It's true, and I know the more tired I get, the worse the seizure, but it's hard not to want to avoid it.
