It started at the end of September when I was going through the aisle at Target..halloween section.
The flashing lights through me into a very bad dizzy spell. I figured that I hadn't eaten and was just not feeling good and didn't think much of it until the next week at Target - same aisle - I had another "episode". Then a couple days later, driving, the sun peeked through the trees and again..a bad dizzy spell. I went to the dr. and described my symptoms (flashing lights made have a dizzy spell that lasted about 30 seconds and then it just tired me out afterwards). I had heart tests (I have a left bundle branch blockage..no biggy), blood test (came out to be pretty anemic) and everything else was fine.

I went to New York for a wedding this weekend and when the photographer was taking a picture, the 2nd flash threw me into a dizzy spell. I was cognitive, but I couldn't see straight for about a minute. I am so afraid. I do get stressed very easily..but I never thought I could be having panic attacks. And now people keep mentioning MS to me? My family dr. is concerned, but thinks it is more with my heart..and I just don't know.

Please..anybody?

I am a new member. My grandson was just diagnosed with "E". This forum has been a blessing and I wish I could help, but all of this is new to our family.
I will keep you in my prayers and I will check back later.

I don't have a lot of time but you better get seen and quick. I have the kind of seizures that you are talking about where those damned lite set me off. It nothing to play with. See a neuro doctor ASAP. Get it check out.

Welcome! I really agree you need to get checked by a neuro!! While I am not affected by lights at all, many on this board are and I'm sure they will be posting a reply to you soon. Please see a neuro, it certainly can't hurt! Please post back to us and let us know how you are doing!! Take care.

I went to the family dr. today and had everything written down...the whole sequence of events of times and where and how the dizzy spells come about and gave him the paper on reflex epilepsy. He immediately called a neurologist and they got me in to have an EEG and possibly a Catscan on Monday. He stated the neurologist does not believe that it is epilepsy and he gave me a "look", which made me leave the office crying..because I don't know what it meant. I am a basket case today in tears. Now I am fearing a brain tumor..which then is causing me to panic and not feel well at all. I am hoping it is my eyes possibly...any which way..I am afraid.

I ended up calling a friend of mine who is an ER dr to ask him and he said it sounded more like migraines even without having any head pain. I am so confused.

I have experienced some of these same symtoms and was diagnosed with optic migrains. I don't get a headache until after the dizziness and it is never a ready bad headache.I get these when i am tired, stressed or i haven't had a good nights sleep. To much time at the computer brings them on also.
I don't have "E" my grandson does. he is also photosensitive. I just happened to come across your cry for help. Did I???

Yolo my wife is sleeping right now so if you don't mine I'll answer for her she is 25 years young and has been diagnosed with E she has both the grand mal and pettit mal seizures her ex tried to kill her by hitting her in the head with a gun. after the attack she didnt remember anything until 9 month later while watching tv she remember and left him. she has had almost 90 seizure this year and we are on three differents meds to control it. I hope this helps there are far worst things than E. count your blessing and keep your head up.
