View Full Version : "mild" hearing loss

The company I was working for has this "attention getting" gimmick of bell ringing. A customer took the brass bell from me and rang it hard in my ear. (August 2006)
I have suffered minimal hearing loss in that ear (25 dcb). The Hawaii State Labor Board wants a hearing to determine whether this claim is compensable. I have only askedthat my doctors bills from hearing checks, because of this,be reimbursed, but now I am mad. I was fired 6 weeks after the incident. It may not be much loss, but it is loss. I have had my hearing checked 4 times because of this, and my doctor thinks I should not close the case so long as my hearing has not returned to normal.
BTW I had my hearing checked about 2 years ago, and it was completely normal.
Can I expect to get anything from this hearing?
