WELL, from reading what you did on my MRI report, do I have what wouldbe considered a structuraly abnormal heart? Since the signal echo test was normal, my cardiologist does not believe i have RVD. I am now, not worried about myself, but for the future of my daughter and my precious grandchildren.
Lennin, you have time now to help me with questions for the electeo doc wed. :) PLEASE..WHAT WOULD YOU ASK?? If this were you? Pika has raised some issues that ii hadn't considered. I will ask him about those. It says that overall the right ventricle wall is slightly less than expected. I am going to call the radiologist again tomorow an dask her to PLEASE get her associate she said she would get, to take a look see at the MRI film. I still am in SHOCK that I took the test, and still no affirmative answer. It does amtter..I have family that may need to be genetically tested. i feel electro is going to want to put ICD in. Cardiologist says to just live my life. HUH???
REMEMBER the report says increased signal ( what does that mean, canot find it on the net) making it "concerning for' but NOT diagnostic of..RVD..
The weather is unusually cold and going to be icy here in Austin Tx., and it is VERY, VERY depressing today. I keep having bad dreams whenI "doze" off. My mind is literally exhausted. I wil persevere one way or the other. I want to live to see my grandbabies grow! i am 48 and too young to become a cardiac cripple. I may have to have the ICD...and I DON'T WANT IT AT ALL... but then again.. it could just end up saving my life.
A HUGE QUESTION I HAVEN'T SEEN ON HERE.. EXCEPT FROM ME;)
How many of you have the difibulators you can purchase like they havein airports etc. Wouldn't you all feel safer if you had one at home? I know I may bee going off on the deep end here...:)  thank you to ANYONE with thoughts and Prayers, and QUESTIONS you would have if this were you.. Hugs to all.. Mimi

mimi,
Let THEM do the talking and record everything if you need to. Don't jump in for an implantable pacemaker in a hurry...think about it long and hard.
Just keep asking...
WHAT are you CERTAIN that I have?
WHAT are you CERTAIN that I should do about it?
WHY?
Keep them focused on topic.
Take daily aspirin to prevent clotting.
Get an Rx for diazapam. :D

Hi mimi. Unfortunately I don't think any of us can really answer those questions. It will help when you get a more certain diagnosis.

UPDATE! Got a call today from tthe radiology TECH. He said the radiologist I spoke with Fridy, had showed my MRI films to some of her collegues, and they want me back in wed., for another "short" MRI. Said that my resting hr is soslow it makes it even harder to read. My resting HR is like 52. I am on Corgard (Nadolol) as a beta blocker. SO I have a "glimmer" of hope still. If not one, but more than one radiologist is having a hard time being more than 50/50...Thank you for answering to this posts. I hope I didn't put anyone on the spot. I don't know any of you persoanlly..but feel as though we are all one big HEART!!!

ALSO... I AM THE WORLD'S WORST SPELLER AND I DON'T EVER CHECK MY POSTS. EVERYONE ELSE'S IS SO NEAT AND PERFECT. MiNE IS THE ONLY ONE ON HERE WITH ALL THE MISTAKES. YOU'D NEVER KNOW I AM A SOMEWHAT INTELLIGENT PERSON. AND LOOK WHAT I Just DID?? USED THE DREADED CAPS.. sorry. Hey lennin.. Doc has increased my Xanax for the time being. It sin't valium. I never took that, but the Xanax is good for me because it's sublingual (sp) and I can put it under my tongue if I have anxiety over the v-tach..

Hi Mimi
To put in perspective what I have read on this thread, the right ventricle dilation is negative according to your cardiologist. And there is no structural damage, but the wall is slightly less than expected.
Maybe I'm not up to speed on your condition, but to give you some insight usually when there is a heart-wall movement impairment the heart chamber enlarges to provide stronger contractions to overcome the deficit of blood pumped with a wall impairment. Your Echo test is very good for determining chamber size and wall motion.!! No problem noted.
The question I have, if the echo is normal, what does slightly less than expected (heart wall motion) mean, and what is the significance? Your heart according to the echo is functioning properly!! Is there a negative opinion regarding the prognosis of the heart wall based on an MRI.

I haven't had an echo in 2 yrs. it was normal back then though..like 65 % ef on a stress echo. maybe better. this was an MRI and they want to repeat a portion of it. the weather is uncommon for this area of tx. and everything is closed. my appt tommorrow is not going to happen. i'm about 90% sure. texans are jsut not used to ice and we don't drive well on it. maybe i should speak for myself, but when we do have the ooc. once in 7 yrs. ice storm, EVERYTHING IS SHUT DOWN! those of you in the northern states would laugh, but we just aren't equipped for this weather. we never get it...i wanted to get that other MRI repeated so bad tomorrrow,a nd then see the electro. another weekend of depression and anxiety..and mow, my daughter has been in the er yesterday and most of last night and then again this am. hubby and i kept grandbabies. i am so in love with these lil grandchildren, but worn out! i didn't sleep well.. and now i am throwing PVC's left and right. 5-6 a minute. daughter has something wrong with her stomach. her small bowell is inflamed. and she can barely breathe. her husband was with her and i wanted to be there, but have to learn that he is the one that is rightfull the owner of that place! she ahd to have a CT scan of her entire abdomen last . everything is good except for this inflamed small bowel and it is pushing against her diaphram. i don;t know what to expect next. when it comes to my daughter.. i take a back row in my eyes. i would rather be il than her any day of the yr. mimi oh.. on a lighter note..my grandbabies go tto see snow flurries for the first time!! i got my dauighters camcorder out and took pics of them for her. i don't think my daughter has ever seen real snow. i have always preferred a cruise to snow skiing, because i freak thinking about the high altitude, and a lot of my friends that aren't having heart probs. complain saying their hearts beat really fast when they go to colorado etc. so i wil just stay in lower elevations.
