I get stray hairs above my brow and I tweezed the actual top part of my eyebrow off 4 months ago without realizing what I was doing and it is making me crazy. (I'm not using that term lightly.) I am using Rogaine but I'm in my 40s and I'm afraid my brow is ruined forever. It causes me a lot of anxiety that I can't do anything to fix the problem. (Because its the top, pencil, shadow, etc. doesn't look right.) If anyone has had success with anything in regrowing their eyebrows, please share!

Also, in the midst of my crisis over my eyebrow, I couldn't concentrate well and got the worst haircut of my life (shredded top to bottom) which will take 5 years to grow out given the length of my hair. I am taking vitamins and supplements but I don't think its growing any faster. Any reports of successfully accelerated hair growth would be appreciated, too.

Sometimes eyebrows just don't forgive plucking the wrong ones. I finally had to make mine thinner just to eliminate one bald area I couldn't find a matching pencil or powder to match for the life of me. I hate eyebrow makeup--pencils look harsh and the brushes that go with the powder are so poor you might as well use a pencil. It's black, harsh brown or weird blonde it seems like. Have never seen a nice gray one yet.

Rogaine should help--how long have you been using it?

Also, the following oils might help applied to the eyebrows, they make mine look sleek and shiny: castor, flax, emu. Taking flax oil has accelerated the growth of my hair substantially. And fish oil and evening primrose, too.

Thanks. I'm taking hair vitamins and extra Biotin as well as an Omega 3/6/9 supplement. I've only been using the Rogaine a few weeks. I'm not sure when I would put oils on if I'm using the Rogaine morning and evening. I wonder if applying oil after would change the efficacy of the Rogaine...

Hair vitamins with make your hair grow stronger and healthier if you are lacking these vitamins. But it will not make your hair grow faster. I've done a lot of research on this . Protein is the only thing that will make your hair grow faster. It can make it grow up to twice as fast. Wheat germ or protein powder will help you get a sufficiant amount. Also massaging the area will stimulate blood flow and is a good preventative in hair loss.

Sometimes tweezing a brow hair can damage the follicle to the point where it is incapable of producing another hair. In those cases, Rogaine, vitamins, etc., are useless. There is also less blood supply in that area, another reason some people's brows become sparse.
