Is there anyone else here from Georgia?????If so how long did it take you to finally get your ssid backpay.He has been getting his monthly check since November.But still no backpay.They keep telling us 2 weeks more each time we call,and we have called every week since his first check come:dizzy:

well its been six months now and the same ole story every time you call them its in processing....my gosh ..it aint that much money...this whole thing sucks...lawyer has been paid,dependent has been paid..just not him...is the state of Georgia always this slow?????

I live in Texas, so I am not sure about Georgia. Are you doing direct deposit? That is how I have always gotten my money and I got my backpay before my first check. I would make an appointment with your local SS office to get this resolved.

I agree, that your best approach probably would be through your local SS office. If you remember the name of the person who did your interview, call him/her and see if they can help you or see you to discuss the problem. I had the name of my interviewer and called him several times about certain things that came up. I didn't get any back pay as I was approved on the first application, but it was the local guy I had talked to that gave me the good news, that I had been approved in five months.

Also, what about the attorney? Is there possibly any help there? Also, if you aren't on direct deposit, you really should be. Helps eliminate the problem of checks "getting lost" in the mail. My check is in my account each month, when it should be deposited.
