Hey Everyone,
Im 19 years old and when i was 17 almost 18. I was laying in my bed and some how fell off the bed and had a small siezer (SP) my boyfriend told me i didnt know what happed i though i was sleeping and just fell off the bed in my sleep or something.. It was weird i had no idea what happened so i just forgot about it and layed day to go back to sleep (for somereason I was really tired) then about 20 mins later it happened agian but alot workse i was out of it from when it happened till when i "woke up" the ambliance guys were standing in my room. So i had to be out of it for atleast 10 mins. So i went to the hospital they game in valium(SP) through a IV. did a scan on my head to check for toumers etc... everything came back fine. So they sent me home w/ a anti convolution (SP) medison and told me to go to the doctor right away. SO the next day we went to go see a nerlogils(SP) he said that because i had 2 like that its consitered it eplisipty(SP)and i would be on meds. for to years and as long as i dont have anymore then i would be taken off the medison.he first put me on depacote(SP) 500 mg. i took that for a few weeks and ganed weight and hated the sideaffects. so he then put me on carbatrol i was doing good on the carbatrol no "attacks" then about a year after the 2 attaks i started haaving big anxiety attacks . the anxiety attacks were so bad i felt like i was going to have a sezer(SP) so i went back to my doc and he put me on celexa and valium.i did ll this for a year the antidepressents help alot w/ the anxiety then about 3 months ago i stoped talking all my meds. i didnt stop all at once i "winged off them" like the doc says. so i have been off and now im having small anxiety attacks. the doc said the anxiety was caused for the fear of having another attack.SO my ? is do yall think i should still be on my meds? it has been over 2 years since my sezers and i only had 2. i havent been to the doc in 6 months so he doesent know im off. do people ever "grow out" of eplispy??ok soory this is so long but thanks to everyone that can help

Hi,
I don't know whether or not you are having seizures. What I would advise is for you to go and see a Doctor to see if you are still showing signs of seizure activity. I'm not sure if people actually outgrow seizures, but I think there are physical and environmental changes that take place that can increase or decrease a person's seizure threshold. I think many young people stop having seizures after they go through puberty. Wouldn't it be nice to find out one way or another whether you are still having seizures? Peace of mind can be very freeing! Keep us posted. I wish you luck. Kathy
