i have read that antihistamines can lower one's S threshold except the newer ones like claritin.
my dr. gave me a prescription for zyrtec but i am a little nervous about taking the stuff now after having read that.
i do not have normal s's. i have them only to this day from strobe light effects.
so maybe i would be okay with them??
does anyone know about this?

Hi,
Whenever I have a new prescription I always go to my Pharmacist with any questions. One time my Doctor prescribed something. He had checked it in his reference material, and said it was safe. When I went to have it filled my Pharmacist told me that the medication was known to cause seizures in non-epileptic patients! I trust him almost more than I trust my Doctor. Good luck, Kathy
