I've thought these things of a couple of years now, so I thought I'd get your opinions...

I have this fantasy/urge that I play out in my mind a lot where I:

- Get hit by a car and have paramedics rushing around me trying to save my life. Sometimes I'll want to start thrashing or around or something so that they'll have to restrain me. I never want anyone I know, especially family to be around me though, only strangers.

-Or I'm being chased by the police, sirens going, patrolling around the neighbourhood trying to find me and then chase me.

I get a high thinking about it, it's a euphoric kind of feeling and I get an adrenaline rush. I even go out of my way to look suspicious when a cop car drives by. I want them to stop, and I'd start running so they'd chase me.

Is this normal?

This is so creepy, because I have been having a serious thought about hurting myself. Lately, it has been by getting bite by a black widow. The problem with that is the anti-venom can only be given to you once.

Then after that you have to endure a week of muscle cramps beyond your wildest dreams for a week. I live in a black widow infested area and the bite doesn't hurt.

The other thought I have been having is rolling off of my roof. Like faking I am falling so I will stay in the hospital for a while. But I broke my ribs before and I don't want to do that again.

Both of these entail me being hospitalized for a period of time. Except the black widow thing, when you are given the anti-venom you are cured in about half hour.

I have had the police chase me so that is no big thrill. Especially since there is no where to go when the police are after you and they do catch you and that is a felony. Making you a felon by just evading the police.

Heck there are better reasons to become a felon. It reminds me of Alice's Restaurant from the 60's. Being a felon for littering.

Hah, I'm glad I'm not the only one :P. Is it just craving attention or something?

As for the police thing, I know I'd get in all sorts of trouble, but it really doesn't seem to sway me..

I don't have quite these same kind of fantasies, but I can relate a little. Sometimes I don't think it's some elaborate mental disorder or disease...I think it's just simple boredom.

Hi Lemon, does your first fantasy have anything to do with you wanting people to take care of you? Is your second fantasy a bit sexual do you think?

I wouldn't run from the police! You don't need a felony on your record! Also, you could kill someone else in a police chase or seriously injure yourself. Maybe you could get your boyfriend to dress up like a police officer?
