Question!
Today while using the bathroom, I noticed a clear/white discharge from my vagina. After using the bathroom, the clear/white stuff continually came out and went all over my panties. My vagina doesn't burn and it's not itchy but I do have a clear discharge. What is this? Is this normal? And I just turned 18 and never been to a Gynocologist yet. So, should I start going or is this normal discharge? Also, I am not sexually active. Can anyone help:confused:

If it's not smelly and you don't itch down there, it's probably normal. Most women have cyclical discharge (though being on birth control tends to dry it out). It will be dry/sticky right after your period, then creamy/white/lotiony (may have a yellow tint), then clear and resembling uncooked eggwhite around the time you ovulate. It tends to lessen and dry out after ovulation but you still may have a little between ovulation and your period (roughly 2 weeks).
Also, it is a good idea once you turn 18 to see the gyncologist even if you are not sexually active to get a pap smear and exam to be sure everything is OK with your body.

I often have discharge and I remember it being a lot more varied when I was younger. The description of "lotiony" is accurate. It's something that I don't think many women talk about, but it is very normal.
I am 30 and have been on the pill for about 7 years. I just went off last month and I just noticed some different discharge. I expect my period any day now and the discharge is very gelatin-y and clear. It doesn't smell so I won't worry about it, but when I was on my period, I really only had this amount of discharge when I was ovulating. Does anyone else get it around their period?
Thanks for your help.

I get some discharge resembling eggwhite discharge 2-3 days before my period starts (but less stretchy and less in volume than around ovulation).
