Hi, My names Lyndsey and I'm 14 years old. I have had epilepsy ever since May this year. I have grand mal seizures and the little ones too, i froget what their called. They just changed my drug to 'zonegram' its new, and i used to be on 'keppra', taht was new also. Keppra wasn't working for me, but zonegram seems to be working for me good. Is anybody else on that drug?

I don't take the same meds as you, but I wanted to say Hi. There are many people that come here (this epilepsy forum) for advice and support, so it's a good place to be. I'm sure someone taking the same medications will respond. I hope you continue to do well on Zonegram. I take Carbatrol and Lamictal....which seem to help me. I have Grand Mal and Partial seizures. They ALL stink, don't you think?!? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif I think there are a few teens that come here. Hopefully they'll see your post and will send you a message. If not, you may want to repost, and type "any teens here?" as the subject. I hope you get the support and information you are looking for. My daughter Jenny is 14 and was diagnosed in Sept. this year. She has Complex Partcials and absent seizures. She is taking Tegratol and it seems to be working well for her.
We also have a baby, Jake 22 months, that has seizures. He has Grand Mals, Complex Partcials and absents. He takes Lamictol and Trileptol.

Hi Jon who sometimes visits here is also 14. He has just been diagnosed with E too. He has started taking Valproic Acid for his and has been seizure free for 3 days (record). He has absence, complex partials ...

hey babycakes, I am 14 yr's old and i have epilepsy as well. I have petty mal/absence, and complex partial/tempral lobe seizures. I have been having these for about 2 years now. I just started taking medication a couple weeks ago, I am taking valporic acid. It is accualy working really well for me. How is school going for you? It has been pretty hard for me to concentrate, and getting all my work done, my memorie is a little fuzzy sometimes. What tests have you done? I have had 2 EEG's 1 ECG and I am going for a CT test in the middle of November. I am in a band, I play the bass guitar, and i skateboard. What do u like to do? well i should be off cya

heyy jon, I had an eeg and some other tests,MRIs, katscans, all of those. I don't really remember. Right now I'm out of school but I'm going back next week because the doctor recommended I should stay out for a little. I like to play tennis, i play tennis for the school but now the seasons over so yeah, I like doing pretty much anything though, haha.Thats really cool you play in a band, how long have you been playing?

I've been playing the bass guitar for about 2 years now. Me and my buddys who are in the band with me are playing at wackapalooza this year, its kinda like battle of the bands. We play mostly like heavy/fast stuff. heh i was kinda freeked that i would have a seizure infront of like hundreds of people right on stage while i was playing. But since ive been taking this medication i've been fine so im not as worried anymore, but anyways i gotta go, ttyl, Jon

Oh well good luck with that, haha thats really cool.What kinda music do you listen to? just curious haha. Yeah I know what you mean about being embarrased about havig one in front of alot of other people, im always worried ill have one in school or something hah, i never did though. So youre in 8th grade or 9th? I'm in9th..lol. Yeah...well I'll ttyl bye.

I listen to mostly punk and metal music. I like some old rock too.What about you ? My dad plays the guitar hes the one who got me into it and i play for the band in my school. Im in grade 9 too.
