hi im 47,periods were 28 days apart but now anything from 24 to 21, im ovalating on the 7th day,i have cystic breasts and in constant pain,the pain stops when i start my periods then day severn starts again,what i want to ask is about the flashes,i get very hot out of the blue,all over my body and it stays for houres,i have stood out side in the rain in my night ware,to cool down,my skin feels cold but im boiling inside and this happens when im due for my periods,i also have fibeoids and am anemic through heavey periods,am i ill or is this peri shirley.

hi moommin. can't say i've ever had a hot flash that lasted as long as you're saying, but i bet there's someone here who has! i've gone through spells of having very frequent ones, and very, very hot ones, and sometimes very frequent very, very hot ones too!!!
if you scroll down and check out all the titles you'll find a couple about hot flashes, which may be hepful to you to read. the main thing is though, that they're different for everyone, and can change and alter in frequency and heat for no apparent reason.
it would seem that, because of your age and your symptoms, you're in peri - welcome to the club!
by the way, i also suffered cystic breasts. from age 38 onwards i had about 6 a year aspirated and had to see the consultant every 6 months. one good thing about peri and menopause, is that these subside, and i've only had one in the last 2 years - so that's something to look forward to.

hi sue, thanks for your reply if this is peri i have been in it for about two years,iv had problems with my brest for 22years,so am looking forward,to menopaurse if it stops the pain thanks again. shirley:wave:
