Hello,

I have been on a betablocker a day to control PVC's for about a month and a half. I woke up today with a slight fever, and am getting congested....i hate cold & flu season! I usually take nyquil or dayquil, but since i started taking the betablocker, i was wondering if i should still take the dayquil & nyquil.

Thanks for any info you give me!

kopyone,

You can take Nyquil for nighttime relief, but skip the Dayquil because it contains pseudoephidrine (decongestant.) It won't KILL you but it will cause a BP rise.

If you DO take it, monitor your BP to see that it doesn't rise too high.

<If I'm in misery I pop the occasional pseudoephidrine...spending a whole day unable to breathe through my noseis no fun.>
