Has any one tried Activia to relieve the symptoms of IBS?. If so have you succeeded?. In addition, does any body feel pressure in your middle/bottom part of the abdomen and it makes you want to go pee.. or feel like you have to go pee?.. Thanks

Some people have posted here and said Activia Yogurt helps with constipation type IBS.

I have the mixed type of IBS and I think Activia has been very helpful. Between the Activia, fiber supplements (and high fiber cereal) and additional Lactobacilli supplements my IBS has been the best its been over the last year than its been in the whole previous 20 years!

I have started on the Activia this week on day 5 now and my stomach is certainly not as bloated today as is has been, I also take prebio7 friendly bacteria, maybe it's a combination of them both. I'll report back next week as they say give it 2 weeks.

I have been using Activia, but my symptoms come and go so I don't know if its my diet or something else! I also exercise occassionally. Can this affect you stomach? This bloating this is very bothersoem and sometimes painful!!!!

When the friendly bacteria in your GI tract gets out of balance -- it interfears with your digestion and can cause bloating.

There are alot of things that mess up the friendly bacteria balance -- a round of antibiotics, many other medications, too salty or too sugary foods or drinks--even alcohol and many junk foods as well as processed food.

Fermented diary products like yogurt and kefir help re-balance the friendly bacteria!!

I have been eating Activa every day for the last several weeks and it really does seem to help. Of course, if I have a bad eating day and am not careful I still have problems.

I took the activa "challenge" becasue I have been taking meds for IBS for 2 years. nothing short of Lomotil stops symptoms.
I started Activa 5 day ago. I noticed a cessation in bathroom trips within 24 hours. I don't know if this is coincidence but this is the first time in 2 years I have not taken meds for 4 days and have had no problems or side effects.....yet...
I can't imagine this could be the answer I've been looking for. I am noticably not bloated and am having regular bm's once a day, a miracle in itself.

for $2.79 a pkg, to me, its worth 3x's that!
