View Full Version : Possible Heart Problem?

I'm a 24 year old female, who, until November 2006 was in good health with the exception of kidney stones.

I started having left side chest pain and left shoulder pain and went to the ER, where they did an EKG which came out fine.

The pain continued and I started having bad muscle pain all over, in my arms, jaw, ribs. I've also had tingling on the left side of my face, hands and feet

I have been to the ER twice since my original visit and they all did EKG's that supposedly came out fine.

I saw a Cardiologist who did an EKG and a Stress Test and Echocardiogram, all of which they said were normal.

My EKG says

Vent rate 89 bpm Normal sinus rhythm with
sinus arrythmia
PR Interval 122ms Biatrial enlargement
QRS duration 72ms Low voltage QRS
QT/QTc 360/438 Abnormal ECG
P-R-T axes 73-72-43

When I asked about the biatrial enlargement, he said it could be because I have larger breasts or the way the leads were placed.

I want to believe these hospitals and doctor, but the symptoms are continuing, along with shortness of breath and the feeling of something being in my throat, so it's very scary.

Any help is so greatly appreciated. I feel like the last 2 months have been a rollercoaster.

I also wanted to ask that since I have saline breast implants, would that make it harder to read the echocardiogram?

If you keep having symptoms and you beleive things are not right with your body then dont take what the drs are telling you as truth. YOu stay at your drs office or the ER until they hear what you are saying..that something is wrong..that you are having symptoms that are not normal for a person esp one your age. I know thats hard to do but you have to do thatif you want to get answers.Find another doctor that will listen and take you seriously but please dont give up..you know more than anyone if something is wrong wtih your own body. Once i went to my internist complaining i felt something was lodged in my throat. I went to him twice before he said he would send me to a specialist..he said..You can see this other dr but nothing is wrong with you. As it turned out, i had to have throat surgery..to remove something that was lodged in the back of my throat. Good luck and keep us posted pls.
