Our 3 year old with autism has been drinking soy since he turned one. We found that regular milk upset his tummy--he has alot of GI issues.

Thankyou for your input! My daughter had digestive issues after birth she was placed on soy at this time till up to age 4....

i did untill i found out its not good for you compared to real milk.

i breastfed my son til he was a year, but while i breast fed him, i was unable to drink regular milk or milk products and had to drink soy. my girls also drank soy for the first year, afterwards, their allergy to regular dissipated.

I took dairy out of Liam's diet about 2 weeks ago, and gave him soy instead. He is doing fantastic on it, and all of the digestion problems we saw with dairy are gone. I asked the dr. how much soy was ok, and she told me 3 cups/day.
