My mother suffers from extreme intolerance to cold and it gets to the point where she would need to wear multiple layers in 35 degree heat and she can't open the fridge or freezer doors. It's very distressing....

All this seem to start after an operation to remove her uterus and got worse after a second operation to remove her ovaries.... Does anyone know anything about this because any leads would be gratefully received!!! Thank you

It sounds as if it could be a hormonal imbalance due to the removal of her uterus and ovaries. This happens because removal of the sex organs affect the endocrine system. She should have all here hormones including her Thyroid checked. Have her make an appointment with an Endocrinoligst. Good luck!:)
