If you wear spotting a brown discharge, would it be wise not to have a pap smear and wait till another month?

I would reschedule if possible. They suggest scheduling the appointment for the middle of your cycle (basically between periods) for the best results. However, if you think you have an infection,imbalance, or other problem, definitely go ASAP.

I atually just went to my gyno and I was still spotting so he told me to wait two weeks. But like the last poster said, go if you have any sign of infection, go. I guess it makes it more difficult to see the cervical cells.

I just went to the gyno for a PAP on Tuesday and I had been spotting a light brown discharge. It wasn't a problem.
