ok so i have a little problem. whenever i get hungry, its painful. yesterday i was at a friends house for 6 hours working on a project for school and i didnt get to eat at all. instead of feeling hungry though, my stomach started to KILL me. it hurt soooo bad and my stomach actually started to get all swollen. as soon as i got home, i began to eat food and when the first bite hit my stomach, it was awful. omg i was doubled over in pain. it hurt soooo bad. i took an antacid but it took like a half hour to kick in. i'm really scared now to get hungry so now i'm seriously gonna carry around like a granola bar (or something) with me evrywhere i go. but god forbid something like this happens again in the future, what can i do because im really sick of this?

It might be a good idea to see a doctor in case you have an ulcer. I think it's normal to feel some sort of hunger pains when your hungry but that sounds like a bit much...Just try to eat whenever you're hungry and avoid things that might upset your stomach like spices and caffeine.

Ask a doctor is a good suggestion. My thought is "hunger pains." Yes, they do exist and I get them too. The best thing to do is to eat something the minute they come on or try to watch what time they usually occur and eat before you get them. You could carry around low-fat granola bars, which is what I eat to keep them at bay. You're really not eating enough food to stave off the hunger pains.

Thats funny because I was just thinking about this myself and now I read it here. I get this. I get about half an hour before I basically feel sick. I have gerd and esophogitis so I figured it was the acid literally burning in my gut. I think the goal is the not get hungry and eat a lot of small meals so you maintain that normal feeling.
