There is a site that has ab machine reviews: www.indy-portal.com (http://www.indy-portal.com)

I used the abslide machine and I returned it after a few days. I wouldn't say it was garbage, but it certainly wasn't worth the price to me. After I used it, I didn't feel anything in my stomach as much as in my back or arms, and my rear end was sore too. It does push you to do them though, it offers resistance. But I just couldn't see it working long term at all--the best results I have ever gotten for doing abs is tae-bo, and I'm going to stick with that forever. I don't think you should waste any money on an abslide, but that's just my opinion.

Devices like the ab slide can hurt your back very easily. People who are out of shape should not use them. Even people in good shape stand the chance of injury.

Hey, I've got an AbSlide and I love it. The only time I encounter any back pain is when I use it for too long, which I try to avoid. The cool thing about the AbSlide is that it not only works for your abs, but for your arms, shoulders, and back. I can tell a noticeable difference. It's worth the $40 to me. I would just read into it some more and then go from there!
